Man with Limp Wrist, my work for orchestra that premiered in 2023, will be released on the Hallé's label this summer, alongside works by Thomas Adés and Oliver Leith. More news soon.

Babygirl, the A24 for which I worked on the orchestration for fantastic composer Cristobal Tapia de Veer, is out now in the UK -- I worked on the title track after having orchestrated the same composer's White Lotus Theme. Check it out in cinemas and online.

Cristobal Tapia de Veer's score has been nominated for Best Original Score at the 2024 Academy Awards. I orchestrated the title track for this having previously produced some full orchestra version of the composer's fantastic White Lotus theme tune. News here.

Last week The Hallé conducted by Thomas Adès premiered my new orchestral piece Man with a Limp Wrist, and I'm thrilled to share that we got some nice reviews: "delicate and intricate textures" (The Telegraph), "[its] charm... there was a troubled haunting quality to these skew-whiff chorales" (The Telegraph), "distinctive and strangely touching" (The Times): more info here.

I'm honoured to announce I've been nominated for a Ivor Novello Award for my 2022 composition Why Do You Grieve, in the chamber ensemble. The piece was commissioned by Oliver Zeffman to accompany the Hawking Exhibition at the Science museum, and was performed there last summer as part of Music X Museums. In the chamger category I'm up alongside Thomas Adès, Jasper Dommett, Luke Bedford, and Hannah Kendall. Stiff competition! The winners are announced in November -- more info here.
