Every Single Iris on the Internet (with Anna Ridler) by William Marsey

variable length, javascript-coded sound and music, coded visuals

Composed entirely in JavaScript and the Web Audio API, this two part work by Anna Ridler explores the fragility of the internet: the ghosts left behind as the internet ages. As the flowers populate the page, clicks and typing can be heard in a cloud of different tempos. As each cell dies, so does the clicking, and the white noise of the audio begins to stutter, collapse, and group into repeating patterns before gradually falling silent.

Remain on the site long enough after the flowers disappear and the second half of the work plays: a funereal dirge for the flowers, with all sound again generated through JavaScript and the Web Audio API.
