Dutch Indoor Subjects

Inspired by the Dutch painters that in the 1600s became interested in recording the mundane, daily activities of their contemporaries. They painted "nothing of great importance": families eating together, women cooking, or getting ready to entertain guests. Private, usually unobserved, domestic scenes.
